Posted: rcpax @ Wed Jul 16, 2008 9:01 am Mitsubishi is going to race a Super Production Lancer dubbed "Racing Lancer" in the 2009 Dakar. The Rally vehicle will be powered by a 3.0L diesel engine, and the body shell will be modeled from the "Concept-Sportback". The plant is reportedly going to produce vehicles for the 3 brands, which will include a mid-range SUV (could be the production model for Concept-cX?), and also cars for Peugeot and Citroen brands. As can be recalled, Mitsubishi is currently making the Peugeot 4007 and Citroen C-Crosser as a variant of the Outlander under OEM agreement. The MPR14 will be driven by Hiroshi Masouka, and the rest of the Mitsubishi drivers are to drive the MPR13s.
